สืบเนื่องจาก Episode 1 ก็อยากให้คุณ ๆ คุ้นกับการใช้งานก่อน
สำหรับคำกริยาในแบบฝึกนั้น บางตัวเป็นลูกผสมนะครับ คือตามด้วย gerund ได้ แต่ให้จำประเภทที่ตามด้วย gerund เท่านั้น กับ infinitive เท่านั้น ดีที่สุด ส่วนตัวอื่นต้องฝึกใช้ แล้วจะจำได้ครับ อย่าสนใจลูกผสม นั่นเอง
แบบฝึกหัดแรก ฝึกเติมคำที่ถูกต้องในประโยคที่มี infinitive จะได้ชินตาว่ากริยาและคำไหนมักจะมี to ตามบ้าง นำตัวเลือก a-d ไปเติมในประโยคให้ถูกต้อง

c. not to talk d. to use
1. Kowit pretended ............. me when he passed me at the Sunday market.

เอาคำกริยาที่ตามด้วย infinitive พร้อมคำแปลและตัวอย่างประโยค ไปเพิ่มหน่ิอยนะครับ สีแดงคือ ลูกผสมนะครับ คือตามด้วย infinitive หรือ gerund ก็ได้
agree เห็นด้วย Wendy agreed to park outside the hotel building.
appear ปรากฏ The group appeared to like the conference.
arrange จัดแจง Nim arranged to stay with her in Miami.
ask ถาม Danai asked to turn off the fan.
begin เริ่ม It began to rain.
can't bear ทนไม่ได้ Harris can't bear to read the whole page.
can't stand ทนไม่ได้ Sunny can't stand to have Bs in the transcript.
care แคร์ We don't care to walk out of the room.
cease หยุด The boy cease to start his homework.
choose เลือก I chose to eat pizza.
claim อ้าง She claimed to be the mother of that boy.
continue ทำต่อ Patty continued to sing.
decide ตัดสินใจ Rick decided to take a taxi.
demand ขอ He demanded to look at the product samples first.
deserve สมควร We deserve to receive the reward.
dread กลัว I dread to walk to the toilet alone.
expect หวัง We expect to see you at the meeting.
fail ล้มเหลว He failed to make pies.
forget ลืม Don't forget to lock the door when you leave.
get ได้(ทำ) Sophie gets to sit in this class! Why can't I?
happen เกิด(ปรากฏขึ้นมา) She happened to sing very well.
hate เกลียด ฺBobby hates to wash the car.
hesitate ลังเล Don't hesitate to contact us?
hope หวัง I hope to finish the study this year.
intend ตั้งใจ Eric intends to visit you next month.
learn เรียนรู้ I'm learning to quilt.
like ชอบ Gaga likes to sing in the bathroom.
love รัก She loves to snorkel.
manage จัดการ He managed to pick up his wife in a heavy rain.
need จำเป็นต้อง I need to see the doctor.
neglect ลืม/ละเลย She neglected to tell me that the customer called.
offer เสนอ Eddy offered to make a cup of coffee.
plan วางแผน The tenant plan to rent the new house.
prefer ชอบ(กว่า) The Browns prefer to murder the toad.
prepare เตรียม They prepared to move to a new flat.
pretend ทำเหมือนว่า The man pretended to be an expert on wine.
promise สัญญา She promised to come home by 7 p.m. (เวลาที่พูดจะพูดว่า She promised she would come home by 7 p.m. จะเหมาะกว่า)
propose เสนอ Drew proposed to pay for the trip.
refuse ปฏิิบัติ The driver refused to stop the car.
regret เสียใจ I regret to let you know that your car can't be fixed.
remember จำได้่ Do you remember to pick up mum?
seem ดูเหมือน Somsak seems to be very satisfied.
start เริ่ม Margaret started to talk really fast.
swear สาบาน She swore to be a good girl.
tend มีที่่ท่า/มีแนวโน้ม He tends to be a talkative person.
threaten ขู่ He threatened to bomb the airport.
try พยายาม Rehanna tried to walk in the water, but the water was at chest level.
vow สัญญา He vowed to quit smoking.
want ต้องการ I want to try this amusement park.
wish ปรารถนา I wish to receive the call.
would like อยาก We would like to go inside now.
yearn อยาก(มาก) Tracey yearns to travel in Thailand.
